Lemoyne, PA - Gunn Mowery LLC has been chosen as a "2008 Best Practices Agency" by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) for its outstanding performance in the areas of customer service, innovation, growth, stability, technology and financial management. The selection means that Gunn Mowery will serve as a benchmark in the industry for performance and business strategies.
Each year since 1993, the IIABA and Reagan Consulting, an Atlanta-based management consulting firm, have studied the leading independent insurance agencies and brokers in the country. After an agency is nominated, it then must submit detailed financial and operational information that is scored and ranked independently. Only top performing organizations in each of six revenue-sized categories qualify and garner the Best Practices distinction.

Out of 30,000 independent insurance agencies, over 800 were nominated by their trade associations, insurance carriers and peers. Gunn Mowery was one of 190 agencies that earned the Best Practices honor.
The agencies are selected through a comprehensive nomination and qualification process. The Best Practices Study serves as the foundation for efforts to improve insurance agency performance by documenting the business practices of the "best" agencies and urging others to adopt similar practices.
