Agency retains Best Practices distinction for the fourth year
Lemoyne, PA - (August 25, 2010) For the fourth straight year, Gunn Mowery has been chosen as a “Best Practices Agency” by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) for its outstanding performance in the areas of customer service, innovation, growth, stability, technology and financial management.
Out of 1,200 agencies nominated, Gunn Mowery was one of 244 that earned the “Best Practices” honor. To be chosen, an agency has to be nominated by either an IIABA-affiliated state association or an insurance company, and qualify based on its operational excellence.
“We want to ‘institutionalize excellence,’ so that we become the benchmark. Being a Best Practices Agency for four consecutive years indicates we are achieving that goal,” said G. Greg Gunn, managing partner of Gunn Mowery. “This distinction demonstrates that we are making a difference for our clients, our employees, our carriers, and our industry.”
The Best Practices Study serves as the foundation for efforts to improve insurance agency performance by documenting the business practices of the "best" agencies and urging others to adopt similar practices. Founded in 1896, the IIABA is the nation's oldest and largest national association of independent agents and brokers, representing a network of more than 300,000 agents, brokers and employees.
