Human Resource Manager

Katie joined the Gunn-Mowery team in 2010 as a Commercial Account Assistant after earning her Bachelors degree from Central Penn College. At Central Penn, she majored in Management and also received her certification for HR. A few years into her career at Gunn-Mowery, she took a move internally to become the company’s first HR Administrator, was promoted to HR Generalist in 2019 and is now our Human Resource Manager. Katie has continued to grow and develop our HR department and strives to keep our firm and staff compliant with labor laws and regulations. If you join our organization, you will notice that Katie is one of the first employees you will meet; she serves as a liaison for our employees throughout their entire employment experience at our firm.

Katie is active in our local HR chapter, HRPCPA, as well as SHRM. Katie holds her SHRM-CP designation as well as the Department of One designation, providing knowledge and guidance as the leader of our HR department at Gunn-Mowery. Katie is also a licensed Notary Public.

In Katie’s spare time, you can find her spending time with her husband, two young children and golden retriever, Berry. Katie is also very close with her extended family and loves to make memories with them. Photography and craft beer are also passions of hers; you can usually find Katie behind a camera or with a beer in her hand, visiting a brewery with her husband…. Or both!
