Commercial Account Administrator: Job Opening

Gunn-Mowery, LLC, named one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania for the 12 consecutive years, is looking for a Commercial Account Administrator to work from our Lemoyne, Lancaster, Dillsburg or State College location. In this position, you will be responsible for servicing a designated group of customers, providing support to Sales Executives and/or Account Executives as applicable, processing work and communicating with customers on daily basis. In addition, you will support commercial service staff in processing work efficiently using the agency management system. The primary line of business is Property and Casualty. This individual would have the option to work from our Lemoyne, Lancaster, Dillsburg or State College, PA office. 

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Service a designated group of customers, manage and process customer requests, including changes to policies
  • Provide quotes, proposals and bind coverage as needed according to insurer guidelines
  • Coordinates processing of the necessary documents with the Administrative Assistant
  • Provides support to Sales Executives and/or Account Executives
  • Responsive to customer inquiries and requests to foster new business opportunities and maintain customer relationships 
  • Review assigned policies to determine if additional coverages are needed
  • Diligent when interacting with customers and in processing all coverage modifications in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and prevent E&O exposure
  • May be expected to attend industry-specific seminars and training as needed

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associates degree from a two year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of insurance, banking, business, bonds or claims experience
  • Excellent familiarity with computer software applications and current office software
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, technical knowledge and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted carrier(s) underwriting
  • Certificates, Licensees, Registration: Possess or pass the requirement to be a licensed property and casualty agent (Gunn-Mowery pays for all insurance education)
