Effective November 1, 2025, Gunn-Mowery is excited to announce its merger with and acquisition of the assets of Wasson Insurance Agency, Inc., with locations in State College and Tyrone, PA.
The Wasson Agency has been a trusted provider of personal, commercial, and newly expanded employee benefits insurance services for generations. As we move forward, we are proud to honor the incredible foundation built by Dave and Melissa Wasson. For three generations, their leadership, vision, and dedication have shaped a respected agency rooted in relationships and community.
Effective September 1, 2024, Gunn-Mowery acquired the assets of the Stone & Edwards Insurance Agency in Camp Hill, PA. Stone & Edwards is a second-generation agency that was owned and operated by Terri Edwards. They are a personal lines-oriented agency with a wonderful reputation in the local Central PA area. We are looking forward to making this a positive and easy transaction for Stone & Edwards clients to the Upside of Insurance. Gerry Wevodau and Emily Thoman and their team are all joining Gunn-Mowery and Mr. Wevodau will become a shareholder at Gunn-Mowery. The Wevodau firm provides comprehensive employee benefit services to its small and mid-market clients including group health, life, disability, dental, and vision plans. Central Penn Benefits Inc. specializes in providing group health, life, disability, and voluntary benefits to small and medium size groups. Jen Geesey, is the founder and principal of Central Penn Benefits Inc. Jen is joining Gunn-Mowery as a Vice President and principal. Jen and her staff have a commitment to personalized service and have been dedicated to building lasting relationships. All of Wagner-Giblin’s employees, with the exception of one retirement, have agreed to stay on board and we are thrilled to have them become part of #theUpsideofInsurance. Wagner-Giblin traces its roots back to 1870 and its 8 employees focus on commercial insurance, personal insurance, and employee benefits.
