Workers Compensation: Business Concerns for Telecommuters and Employees on Business Travel

On Thursday, December 8th, PayTime hosted their first annual Total Employee Asset Management Event at the Best Western in Harrisburg. Neel Horst and Rick Price from Gunn-Mowery presented to the HR path. Their presentation was on Workers Compensation and titled “Business Concerns: Telecommuters and Employees on Business Travel“.


Rick’s primary role at Gunn-Mowery is to function as a dedicated claims advocate for our clients. This includes oversight of all insurance carriers to ensure the proper investigation, handling and timely resolution of claims issues. Rick’s insurance claims career began in 1986 and includes extensive experience with carriers such as Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, EBI Companies and Royal & Sun Alliance. He also served as litigation coordinator for several of the carriers previously listed. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Elizabethtown College.


Neel has over 30 years of experience in the safety and risk management field. He worked several years with a Fortune 500 chemical company in Loss Control before beginning his insurance career. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Safety Science from Indiana University of PA, as well as a Master of Science in Safety Management from Indiana University of PA. He is also a Certified Safety Professional, an Associate in Risk Management and is a PA Licensed Property and Casualty Producer. Neel’s main role at Gunn-Mowery is to assist companies with the identification and control of exposures to loss and to develop risk management programs and a safety culture.
